Don’t forget all the people using their time to help attain your freedom! If you haven’t come out yet, extended stays in the square can be challenging, and require basic supplies. While everyone tries to prepare their best, sometimes even that falls short, and basic necessities are needed immediately. You can help!

This morning a PO Box was set up so that donations can be mailed to the people at Niagara Square!
Our Needs:

• a generator
• BIG hot vegan meals for everyone
• (3) Regular Brooms
• (3) 25′ electrical cords
• (3) 50′ electrical cords
• (2) Push brooms
• (20) Latch Locking storage bins
• Facial Tissue
• 12pack toilet paper rolls
• Guitar strings
• Warm Dry Clothes: Socks, Sweaters, Sweatpants, Gloves
• Plastic Bins, all sizes of storage containers the best are the latch locking storage bins
• 5 gallon buckets clean and empty
• Blankets, Sleeping Bags
• Herbal Medicine especially Echinacea and Garlic supplements, Vitamins, Medical Supplies
• Tools
• Fold-up Tables and  Chairs
• Sub-zero sleeping bags 

Kitchen needs:

• stainless steel bowls
• 2.5 gallon jugs of water 
• reusable coffee cups 
• ladles/kitchenware
• canned soup/veggies
• disinfectants/cleaning products
• silverware
• seasonings
• juices – apple, orange, ect.

Also, If anyone is staying, laptops are scarce and honestly, absolutely indispensable. If anyone could bring one down for our live feed, and for use at the info desk. Does anyone want to help the info desk?

     we need union support for donations and moral support for the winter. There also should be a paypal button on the website for donations too. anyone have any ideas on this drop me a line at mikenut@verizon.net will come down monday when weather improves.

   The Coalition for Economic Justice has been working with Occupy Buffalo to coordinate and solicit donations to purchase items for Occupy Buffalo.

   We have an online donation page up and running here:

   This is a secure donation site, through paypal that we use for our organization’s membership donations. We created this page – and we promise that 100% of the money that comes in will be at the disposal of the Finance Committee of Occupy Buffalo.

     Hi Josh — I just checked and the CEJ donation site for Occupy Buffalo does not in fact include a PayPal link. While there are certainly good easons for prefering not to use PayPal, some folks will use nothing else because of the exceptional security that PayPal makes available for protecting both your financial and identity information.
     With CEJ focused on general fundraising and support for heat for Occupy Buffalo, the WNY Peace Center also has a donation page fucused on keeping the porta-potties on site and cleaned out. That page, designated as our Witness Fund, does use PayPal and all major credit cards and bank account via PayPal. The URL is:

   Trying to obtain sign materials from real estate agencies. I will paint them white so that we may design messages on them. Also, I have requested the metal holders for signs. I will not buy white primer until I know the real estate signs are coming in. Then, I’ll take them home to cover with white primer; return them when dry, ready for our permanent markers!

   I want to post your wish list and request for donations at ArtSpace on the laundry room bulletin board, but there’s a discrepancy with OccupyBuf’s zipcodes. The mailing address for donations and packages is listed TWICE on the “Donations” info page, with same PO Box# for both, but the zipcodes are different. Mailings with incorrect zips are often returned to sender, and I’m sure The Winter Warriors don’t want possible monetary gifts and packages of warm clothing sent back as undeliverable.I did send an email to expressionlive @yahoo .com but didn’t get an answer Can someone fix this problem? Is Occupy Buffalo’s zip 14201? or 14202? I don’t want to post a hardcopy of the wish list with confusing info. Thanks, Kath

     It should be 14202 if the post office box is at the station behind City Hall. That would make more sense than 14201, which is largely residential lower West Side and Medical Corridor, and has its post office at Tupper and Washington.

       I live on the west side – my “home” post office (where I have to pick up and sign for items)is the one behind city hall and my zip code is 14201.

   Adbusters Magazine, the ones who came up with the idea of occupying Wall Street is offering free copies of their next issue for Occupy libraries.

   I signed us up and received a confirmation email so be on the look out for a bundle of Adbusters magazines at our mail box.

     The first two words (Adbusters Magazine)in my comment above is a link and it does work BUT…

     The words doesn’t show up as a different color to indicate that it is a link. The web admin may want to look in adjusting the CSS or the theme layout for the site so people can see the links posted in comments.

   Should we not change this page information? I would think that donations could now be made out to Occupy Buffalo and while we are at it, why mot a donate button?
